Flatbed Tarps: Which Option Should I Choose?

Flatbed tarps are a broad category that encompasses a lot of subcategories. As indicated by its name, flatbed tarps are commercial, industrial tarps made for covering your load on your flatbed truck.

There are many types of flatbed tarps: lumber tarps, steel tarps, and coil tarps. Here is where you may begin to feel lost in your decision-making process because you may not even know which products are best for your needs. On top of all of those options, there are also flatbed accessories. In this article, we’ll give a general overview of the different flatbed tarps to help you decide which option is necessary for your needs.

Lumber Tarps

Our first category is lumber tarps. Lumber tarps are a type of flatbed tarp that has either a 6 ft or 8 ft drop on the end of the tarp meant to protect loads that sit higher on flatbed trucks (like lumber). Our lumber tarps are made of 14 oz or 16 oz vinyl for durability. These flatbed tarps are typically purchased in sets of two by haulers to fully cover a load. We also offer domestic and import options for you to choose from.

Steel Tarps

The next category is steel tarps. Steel tarps also fall under the flatbed tarps umbrella. There are options with or without tails, and those with tails have a 4-foot drop. They typically carry but are not limited to, steel. Our steel tarps are made with 18 oz vinyl, and we offer import and domestic options in these as well.

Coil Tarps

Next, we have coil tarps. These are great if you have an irregular-shaped load or anything cylindrical shaped. Our coil tarps come in 18 oz or 22 oz vinyl, and we offer import, as well as domestic, products if you so choose. There are three size options: 5 ft x 5 ft x 5 ft,  6 ft x 6 ft x 6 ft, and 7 ft x 7 ft x 7 ft.

If you are looking for specific flatbed tarps, and none of our options completely satisfy your needs, we also offer custom options. All you have to do is fill out your information and then specify what size, material, and any extra add-ons you desire. It is completely customizable and is a great alternative if you are looking for something really specific. 

So, as far as flatbed tarps go, those are our options. But we also offer a large selection of flatbed accessories.
